~Noelle's Home Away from Home~
Noelle had an absolutely fantastic day today, and we praise God for the progress we continue to see in her. The main thing they did today was to take the first step in condensing her feeds, which is the beginning process of getting her down to taking her feeds every 3 hours like a regular baby. Then once she can take all of those feeds by bottle every 3 hours, she will have completed one of the major steps for being allowed to come home. She has handled the first several hours of the condensing very well, so we are praying that this continues and that she can go to the next step soon. She also is currently still taking a bottle once a day and is doing extremely well with that. It seems like she is crossing milestones faster and faster these days which is encouraging after sometimes waiting weeks in the beginning for her to reach even one goal. We cannot wait to report when she reaches another milestone!! Thank you for rejoicing and praying with us.
P.S. Kari, she loves her "Aunt Kari Blanket" you made for her. When we drape it across her isolette, it blocks out much of the light and noise and allows her to rest well. It also is the talk of the NICU, and makes the other babies wish they had one too ;-). Love you!!

Hey Jill! I just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you and Tim and Noelle. I have read every blog entry and check every day for a new one. :) Praise God she is doing so well! I just met a family last week whose little girl was born at 24 weeks. She is now a healthy, normal 5 year old. I've been reading a book - Practical Theology for Women and the chapter on Faith reminded me of you and Tim. Faith is not what we say or believe, but is more what we do. By God's grace you are a living example of faith. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Thank you for your testimony! May God continue to be glorified in you all!
ReplyDeleteI get so excited with each new milestone you post!! I can't wait for you to be able to take her home!! Love you all!!
ReplyDeleteWe have such a merciful Lord! Your baby girl is beautiful and I admire her parents bravery and faith.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is so amazing! It always amazes me when someone isn't supposed to survive a situation and then they do. I've never seen a baby so small. It makes me realize how powerful and merciful God is. I will be praying for Noelle and that you will be able to take her home soon.
